Type of Heavy Duty Racking

Selective Pallet Racking
Selective Pallet Racking is the most common type of warehouse heavy-duty racking; it has the lowest pallet storage capacity but is also the lowest cost per square meter of racking. However, in terms of high volume storage greater than pallets, it’s often the most expensive solution. Selective Racking is only one pallet deep; with a maximum of two racks being able to be placed back to back. Selective Pallet Racking provides direct access to every pallet in storage. For low turnover volume & high differentiation product lines, this type of heavy-duty racking is a must. This means it’s a First in First out (FIFO) racking type (meaning the stock added in first is also removed first, compared to Last in First out (LIFO) warehouse racking systems.

Mezzaniane Floor Racking System
The Mezzanine Floor Racking System gives industry leaders an option to add additional floor for staff upgrade and storage needs. Mezzanine Floor Racking System can be configured to accommodate a wide range of product types, utilizing the full height of the storage facility. This heavy-duty storage and warehouse racking system provide excellent maximization of height by creating different aisle load levels high which are accessed using the staircase.

With drive-in racking, pallets are placed so they can slide backward on a rail, thus storing them more deeply and creating more space in the warehouse. Drive-In warehouse racking system involves the forklift entering the racking from one side to load or retrieve the pallets which are stored more deeply. Single entry racks involve heavy-duty racks that have forklift access to one side only. Double entry racks involve racks where forklifts can access both sides of the racking structure. A row of the racks at the center of this structure is held in place by a large beam.
